SSL works nice, the gfx are glitchy but not sound cut offs. But hey, this was the machine I used to work with until last year, and that was still fine. Though its simply to slow nowadays, trying to use a buffer size of 1 makes the machine almost freeze, also analyzing tracks takes pretty long. Other helpful comments: SSL works fine with USB buffer size of 5 (pre-analyzed tracks), no ACPI problems, this machine works like a charm. when the laptop is grounded via the plug, there is all sorts of noise on the line out if you use the audio out (headphone jack) at all, you'll want to disconnect the ground on the power (using a 3-prong to 2-prong adapter or whatever). Disabling Intel SpeedStep helps with the temperature problems, but reduces cpu speed to a fixed 1.2G (which doesn't seem to affect SSL much at all) I have random issues with usb stutter, particularly when cueing and when I let the song run past the end (going to try jimeeboy51's idea to turn off the auto overviews and see if that helps) It runs stupidly hot (72C-74C while mixing)

Thing freaking works perfectly for me! I love it! The best part is that these notebooks are customizable so you can get your own customized laptop with all of the specs that you want (processor speed, HD space, RAM, wireless internet, cd or dvd burner, etc.). Only negative I can think of is that all of the USB ports are in the back and none are on the side of the laptop but oh well. Also battery lasts a long time since it's a Pentium M. CPU Usage stays around 25% and maxes at 35% occassionally. This notebook runs SSL perfectly without ANY Windows tweaks! I can even surf the web while DJing and there's no audio problems whatsoever. The higher resolution allows me to view more of the GUI than with my old XGA 12" laptop. Other helpful comments: I finally upgraded my laptop for use with SSL and I think I found an almost perfect notebook! The 14.1" screen is the perfect size because the laptop itself is only 12" wide and fits perfectly into my laptop/record bag.
